About the 2025 Arbor Day Celebration

Come out to the Noble Park Amphitheatre on Friday, April 25, 2025, for the Arbor Day Celebration with the theme "We Speak for the Trees." From 5 until 7 p.m. enjoy a tree identification walk, a coloring contest, arts & crafts, and more. Attendees will also be able to help with a tree planting in Noble Park.

This event is free and open to all ages. Parking is available in the Noble Park Pool parking lot which is a short walk from the Noble Park Amphitheatre.


2025 Poster Contest

There will be a "We Speak for the Trees" Poster Contest for 4th and 5th grade students. This contest is open to all Paducah and McCracken County students to submit their interpretation of what "We Speak for the Trees" means to them. There will be a first, second, and third place prize. 

Entries must be submitted at the Paducah Parks & Recreation Department (2701 Park Avenue) by April 16, 2025. All submitted and accepted posters will be displayed at the Arbor Day Celebration on April 25 for families and the community to view. 

Contest Rules and Requirements

  • Theme: "We Speak for the Trees"
  • Deadline: Work must be submitted by Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the Paducah Parks and Recreation office at 2701 Park Avenue (inside Robert Cherry Civic Center).
  • One entry is permitted per student.
  • Must be the original artwork of the student.
  • This is an individual competition. No doubles or team entries will be accepted.
  • Posters must be 8x10 inches or 11x17 inches, portrait or landscape orientation format.
  • The poster must relate to the theme and the title must be on the poster. All words must be legible and spelled correctly.
  • Entries may be done in marker, crayon, paint pens, watercolor, ink, acrylic, colored pencil, etc. No collages or 3D entries will be accepted.
  • Must be handmade. No computer or photo-generated art and printing.
  • Student's name, grade, school, teacher's name, and contact phone number must be printed on the back of the poster.
  • No matted, mounted, laminated, or folded entries will be accepted.
