On Wednesday, September 23, crews will begin a paving project on South 5th Street between Washington and Clark streets. This is the stretch of roadway in front of Paducah City Hall.
Milling will occur on September 23 with the paving anticipated to be completed by the end of the week. All lanes of traffic will be closed for this project.
For the public looking to conduct business at City Hall, streetside parking is available on Washington and Clark streets. Furthermore, a public parking lot is located on Clark Street adjacent to City Hall.
The project will be completed by Jim Smith Contracting. Please use caution, watch for the work crews, and respect the traffic control devices.
The City of Paducah maintains more than 220 miles of streets.
