The Paducah-McCracken Metropolitan Transportation Organization (PMcMPO) invites the public to review and provide comments on the organization’s Metropolitan Transportation Plan 2050.
The PMcMPO MTP 2050 guides the area's metropolitan transportation systems over the next 25 years. With the help of transportation planners, engineers, elected officials, and the public, the plan ensures transportation facilities and services required to support the mobility needs of the urbanized area and its future growth are anticipated and available.
“Transportation planning is an investment in the future of our entire region,” said Paducah Mayor George Bray. “The Metropolitan Transportation Plan 2050 provides a roadmap for a safe, efficient, and connected transportation system that will serve our residents, tourists, and businesses for decades to come. Because these decisions affect all of us and because our community is poised for more growth in the years to come than we’ve seen in 75 years, it’s important that our community has a voice in shaping the plan. I highly encourage residents to review the MTP 2050 and provide feedback during the public comment period.”

About the Paducah-McCracken Metropolitan Transportation Organization (PMcMPO)
The Paducah-McCracken Metropolitan Planning Organization (PMcMPO) is made up of an Executive Board and a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). The PMcMPO encompasses all of McCracken County (KY), the City of Brookport (IL), and a small portion of Livingston County (KY), including the Ledbetter community.
The Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1962 requires all urbanized areas of 50,000 people or more to create a Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) to provide a comprehensive and collaborative urban transportation planning process for the region. The MPO is responsible for transportation planning activities that lead to the expenditure of federal surface transportation funds within the designated MPO planning area.
